Below you find a photo of the ESES class 2010/2011 on one of the first days of the program.

ESES largest class yet was comprised of students from over 20 countries around the world. Each of the students brought different educational and/or industry based backgrounds from their home countries to Sweden giving a wide knowledge base of the class as a whole. The students came together to share global ideas on energy use and discuss the impact that solar energy can have on the worlds current energy usages. Beyond learning this was also an opportunity to network with others and gain experience working with people from other cultures and learning styles. Upon completion of class work the students again spread to different corners of the globe in order to do their thesis research with countries including Germany, Spain, Greece, Indonesia, USA, and more.
Now students are moving deeper into the solar field. Students are now finding work in all areas of the solar energy industry, pursuing PhD’s, and continuing other courses of study.
Experiences with the members of this class went beyond simply classroom learning. Members of the class took part in group trips to local solar and renewable energy companies. Additionally, students would join together for international dinners, travel, and the occasional party.
