With the challenges of global climate change, rising energy prices, and increasing energy consumption, solar energy is becoming an ever important source of energy. Are you interested in learning how to harness this renewable resource? The European Solar Engineering School in Sweden is accepting applications for its one year master program. Become part of the solution!
Applications are handled centrally through the Swedish Agency for Higher Education. You need to apply online at their webpage. Read first carefully the main information on their start page. You find the ESES Masters program on this page.
Then you add the "One year program master program 60 cr in solar energy engineering" to your basket and follow the link "To application". If you did not study in Sweden before you will have to register then and uppload your documents. The first round for applications of Non-European students has already been finished. The second round starts at March 16 and ends at April 15. Note that you get the results from this second round of application not before June 2009. In some cases this might be too late to get Visa in time.
Some more information about the application you will also find on Högskolan Dalarnas website. If you have problems with your application at www.studera.nu please contact the ESES progam coordinator (

There are no tution fees in Sweden so far. However, some scholorships are available for outstanding students from developing countries from the e8 and the Worldbank scholorship program. The Swedish Institute has scholorship programs for students from all countries except the Nordic countries and has a good collection of other scholorships for studies in Sweden. Students with permanent residence in Germany can apply for scholorships from the DAAD.
